The Unsung Heroes

rudy1

Characters, can’t live with em, can’t live without em.  In a sea of Abbaddons, Swarmlords, Eldrads and  the new Azrael, there are number of solid characters that tend to be overlooked.  Lets get a few things straight.  Firstly, a good character is not necessarily an HQ or a special character and isn’t necessarily a complete beat stick in combat.  Good characters are points efficient and excel at one or more aspects.  Maybe the character meshes really well with a certain list or the rest of the codex at large.

A new naval campaign

Friday saw the start of a new naval campaign. The situation was hypothetical. The major powers in 1914 reach agreement on a naval treaty, allowing each navy to dispose of some of there existing ships. South American countries quickly began to buy up these ships in a mini arms race. War broke out with Mexico and Columbia allied against Brazil and Venezuala. Quick Hobby Tip

Just a quick tip for putting decals on your models. Spray a light coat of Gloss coat on prior to transfering the decal. You can also brush on if you like, but the downside is that it will be a little heavier application. The gloss coat gives a hard smooth surface for the decal to adhere to. When it is time to transfer the decal, put a little water or microset on the model where you are going to place the decal. Slide and position the decal. Use the corner of a tissue or paper towel to wick off the excess water.

Dark Angels Codex… Best Ever?

To this day, I, like many of us, have road the GW roller coaster of high highs and low lows, I’ve most commonly criticized GW’s design studio for lacking overall vision and being disconnected from the majority of the player base’s wants. I’ve watched as each edition has begun with a bang and promised new organization and clarity, yet  slowly throughout each four year reign has devolved and broken into disorder.
